SALT LAKE CITY -- A Utah student is credited with foiling plans by two schoolmates who apparently were plotting to set off a bomb during an assembly and flee in a stolen airplane.

Roy High School sophomore Bailey Gerhardt told The Salt Lake Tribune she received a text message from one of the boys and shared it with an administrator, which led to the arrest of the two teens.

Gerhardt says the text from the 16-year-old boy asked: "If I told you to stay home on a certain day, would you?"

That boy and 18-year-old Dallin Morgan were pulled out of school Wednesday.

The Associated Press isn't naming the 16-year-old because he is a minor.

Police say no explosives were found, but Morgan indicated the younger teen had previously made a pipe bomb.
