Two shot, one dead in shooting on Kings Rd.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a deadly shooting that occurred sometime early Friday morning in the Grand Park area of Jacksonville.

Authorities have confirmed that two people were shot while stopped in a white Jaguar at a traffic light on Kings Rd.

The passenger of the vehicle, a male, has since been pronounced dead after arriving to UF Health. The female driver was also taken to UF Health where she is recovering from non-life threatening injuries.



There is no current description or known whereabouts of the vehicle that shot at the white Jaguar the victims were riding in. JSO is hoping to recover possible surveillance footage from nearby businesses that can provide answers.

The crime scene is located at the intersection of Kings Rd. and North Canal St. at the Shell gas station. The off ramp from I-95 N at the Kings Rd. exit has been closed due to the incident and ongoing investigation.

JSO homicide detectives are working this active crime scene.
