JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Someone took an RV on an early morning crime spree before crashing and waking up a neighborhood along Pearl Street.
The $100,000 RV was stolen from a storage complex. Along the way police say two men tried to rob another man while on the road.
"I've never seen a motor coach myself, stolen and used to commit other crimes. It was a bit unusual," said JSO Sgt. Matt Nemeth.
Witnesses say at least one, possibly two men ran from the scene after ditching the RV.
Joseph Bailey was asleep when he heard what sounded like a train plowing through his front yard.
"It was going so fast with so much force it hit my neighbors Jeep and flipped it upside down," said Bailey.
Police don't have any suspects.
The owner of the RV says it's all in the hands of his insurance company, but he believes it will have to be totaled.
