ORLANDO, FL -- A 12-year-old girl is dead after collapsing at a ride at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park.
The child was in the wave pool when lifeguards noticed her lying on the ledge. They approached her and asked if she was okay.
The girl said she was fine, then stood up and passed out.
Lifeguards performed CPR on her and rushed her to a hospital where she later died.
The girl was visiting from Virginia.
Police are now working with Disney to investigate what happened. Disney says it is working to help with the family's needs, including transportation.
