UNION COUNTY, Fla. -- Thousands of dollars worth of illegal drugs are off the streets after a drug bust Tuesday.

Union County Sheriff Jerry Whitehead has announced the arrests of two men following a three-month investigation between Union and Bradford counties.

Roger Perry and Eric Holmes, both 26 and living in a mobile home on SW 47th Loop in Lake Butler, are in jail awaiting their first appearance.

At the men's home, deputies and officers found packaged powder cocaine, packaged crack cocaine and marijuana along with several hundred dollars in cash.

They also found rare coins that were stolen and a semi-automatic weapon that was also been stolen from a home.

Whitehead describes the bust as "significant" and says it will definitely put a dent in the drug trade in Union County.

Perry faces charges of trafficking narcotics, dealing in stolen property, manufacturing with intent to deliver and possession of firearms by a convicted felon.

Holmes is charged with trafficking narcotics and possession of cocaine.
