GLEN ST. MARY, FL -- A student at Stanton College Prep in Jacksonville has been killed in a crash in Baker County.

16-year-old Arjun D. Good, of Glen St. Mary, died in a collision Monday morning.

His car crossed US 90 and veered into oncoming traffic near Pine Top Road.

He hit a car driven by Melody Flores, also of Glen St. Mary.

Flores is the warden of the Baker County Correctional Institute.

She suffered serious injuries. Flores is in fair condition at Shands Jacksonville.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Good was not wearing a seatbelt.

Good went to Stanton College Preparatory School. He was a junior in the IB program and on the crew team.

"Arjun...made good grades and was well liked by his peers," said principal Debra Lynch.

"My utmost concern at this time is to comfort Arjun's friends and assist them with the grieving process."

School leaders broke the tragic news to students Monday morning.

The school held a moment of silence for several minutes prior to the final bell.

The school had grief counselors on hand for students who needed to talk about the loss.

Good is the second teenager from the First Coast to die in a crash at the start of the school week.

Brooke Dover died in a crash with two other teens in Baxley, Georgia, which is near Waycross.

She was a junior at West Nassau High School.
