ORANGE PARK, FL -- The Highway Patrol says a 63-year-old woman accidentally drove over her husband in a traffic accident on Wells Road.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Annette Robinson was driving a 2004 Corvette, following her 62-year-old husband, Thomas Robinson, who was riding on a motorcycle.

According to the accident report, Annette Robinson rear-ended her husband at a traffic light.

Thomas Robinson flew off the motorcycle and landed in the intersection of Wells Road and DeBarry Avenue.

Annette Robinson then ran over Thomas Robinson with the Corvette. He died at the scene.

"It didn't appear to be alcohol related, obviously she was not paying attention, she was distracted by something, obviously driving carelessly," said FHP spokesperson Lt. Bill Leeper.

The couple lived in Green Cove Springs.

FHP says the accident is still under investigation and it is unlikely there will be any charges filed.
