STARKE, Fla. -- Three small children and an adult suffered injuries after a crash involving a semi-truck in Starke, Florida Tuesday afternoon, highway troopers say.

A 4-year-old and a 3-year-old are in serious condition at UF Shands in Gainesville after a Toyota Corolla and a semi truck collided on Southeast State Road 100. A 27-year-old woman and an infant suffered minor injuries and were also taken to Shands, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The woman driving the car with three kids inside were headed toward Starke while the semi was headed to Keystone Heights, Florida.

No one in the Corolla were wearing their seatbelts. Three witnesses at the scene say the driver of the Corolla was being reckless for several miles before the crash and even jumped the center line several times.

S.R. 100 was closed for several hours as investigators looked into the crash. Charges are reportedly pending.
