SWAT call out in Queen's Harbour ends peacefully

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office reports a SWAT call early Wednesday morning ended peacefully. 

According to police, they responded to the 13800 block of Bella Riva Ln in reference to a person on a roof, with a knife threatening to jump.  

Once officers arrived on scene they began negotiations with the distraught man. Eventually, police say he voluntarily came down from the roof and was taken into custody without incident or injury.  He was taken into protective custody and transported to a local facility for further evaluation.
