DUBLIN, Ireland (AP) -- Presidential hopeful Barack Obama could have the luck of the Irish. A genealogy Web site says Obama's great-great-great grandfather was from the heart of Ireland. Obama has made much of his background as the son of a Kenyan father and an American mother. But not much was known about Obama's European ancestors.
Researchers from Ancestry-dot-com say church records dating back to the 1700s show Obama's ancestors on his mother's side came from the village of Moneygall. Locals like the idea of their village being the ancestral home of a potential president. They hope the connection to Obama will bring tourists to the area.
