FROSTPROOF, Fla. (WTSP) -- Polk County Sheriff's deputies are seeking the public's help in locating a suspect who stole the baby Jesus and a plywood donkey from the City of Frotproof's nativity scene.
According to reports, the City of Frostproof had their nativity scene set up in a field on the corner of B Street West and Scenic Hwy.
Officials say it was sometime between Saturday, December 1, and Monday, December 3, when the baby Jesus and a 4' by 6' plywood donkey were taken.
They were reportedly last seen around 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Officials do not have photos of the missing items, but they say the baby Jesus is a plastic doll and the donkey is painted realistically.
The city would like the stolen items returned to the Frostproof City Hall at 111 1st St W, Frostproof.
