MUSKEGON, Mich. -- One of the tallest and largest singing Christmas trees in the world is at the Frauenthal Theater in Muskegon for the next three days.

Members of the Mona Shores choir held their final dress rehearsal Wednesday night. The singing tree is a school tradition that's over two decades old. The tree is 67 feet tall and holds nearly 300 choir members.

Each year one lucky senior is chosen to climb all the way to the top to take the coveted spot of the angel. Sebastian Obzut, who was chosen as the angel this year says, "It is higher than all the seats and stuff. It is tall and I am looking down on everyone."

Shawn Lawton, the Mona Shores Choir Director adds about the concert, "We start rehearsing the music the day school starts. We are singing holiday songs in the hallways and it is funny to hear jingle bells in September."

You can see the singing tree Friday night or at one of two shows on Saturday.
