MIAMI -- A lucky cat is being united with its family after surviving for two days in the Everglades. Sam that cat was ejected from his owners' minivan during a car accident.
Nikki Saltzburg and her family were driving moving from California to Miami, when they collided with another car on Interstate 75 this week.
The family had to go to the hospital and was devastated they didn't have a chance to look for the cat.
But an animal rescuer went back to the scene two days later and found Sam hiding in a bush near the accident site.
The Sun Sentinel reports the rescuer will deliver the cat to the family once they get settled into their new home in Miami.
