JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A few days ago First Coast News told you about the Post Office losing Jimmy Fulford's package. He told us his package was valued at $280 and the USPS delivered it to someone else. This is the Post Office's response:
"The Postal Service apologizes to Mr. Fulford. We searched our facilities, discussed the situation with our letter carrier and re-traced the delivery trail without success. Because there was no insurance purchased, we will not be able to honor the customer's claim," a spokesperson said.
The spokesperson went on to say "We realize that an apology is no substitute for good service, we hope Mr. Fulford will accept ours in the spirit in which it is offered."
