JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Despite the arrest of Robbie Frietas, a spokesperson for the Fraternal Order of Police said the annual Guns 'N' Hoses event is still being planned.
Frietas typically runs the event that is a boxing exhibition between local firefighters and Jacksonville Sheriff's Officers.
Frietas is the FOP Vice President. Frietas was arrested in connection with the Operation Reveal the Deal, a $300 million alleged illegal gambling scheme.
Freitas is one of the individuals accused of receiving more than $500,000 through a shell corporation over 18 months.
A press release claims Freitas would withdraw money just under federal reporting minimums every two weeks.
