Police say the domestic dispute began Monday night at 734 Ralph Street
when Sanders allegedly beat up his girlfriend during an altercation.
Sergeant Shawn Coarsey with the JSO Homicide Unit said eyewitnesses say
Sanders left the residence and then returned Tuesday morning. The couple
continued arguing, and that's when police believe he shot the victim
around 6:45 a.m.
The victim, who has not been identified pending notification of next of
kin, died after being transported to a local hospital. Police say
Sanders lived on and off with his girlfriend and don't know what caused
the argument.
