JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's released the name of a woman found dead in a Highland Glen area home Sunday afternoon.
Melissa Bujeda, Public Information Officer for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, said police were called to a home in the 3600 block of Eastbury Drive to a reported suicide.
When police arrived, Bujeda said officers found 38-year-old Kim Dorsey unresponsive in a bedroom.
Rescue personnel at the home pronounced Dorsey deceased.
Bujeda said as homicide detectives conducted their on-scene investigation, they discovered circumstances surrounding Dorsey's death that were suspicious.
Detectives are investigating the death as a homicide, Bujeda said, and are working to locate and identify anyone who may have information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible.
