JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man died at the hospital after a car hit him on Blanding Boulevard Saturday night.

Detective JD Gregory says the man was walking across the street near Confederate Point around 8:30 when he was hit by a car heading north on Blanding.

The victim was taken to Orange Park Medical Center, where he died.

Investigators did not release his name, but did say he was about 50 years old.

They say charges may be pending in the accident.
