Jaguar PawPrints to be painted this Saturday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- On Saturday, more than 200 volunteers will paint Jaguar PawPrints down the middle of Bay Street.

The Downtown Council of the Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the annual event.

The Council began the tradition the Jaguars' first season in 1995.

Jaxson deVille and the ROAR of the Jaguars will be at the painting as well, cheering volunteers on.

Due to the early Friday night preseason game, this will be the first year the event is held after the first home game.

PawPrint painting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. with the first paws painted by 8. In all, 263 paws will be painted along the roadway by 9:30 a.m.
