JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Homeowners who are worried about the threat of foreclosure can get some free advice tonight in Jacksonville.
The Neighborhood Community Foundation is hosting a free workshop from 7-9 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel at Jacksonville International Airport.
Experts will provide advice on how to apply for federal aid, as well as how to spot lender fraud in a foreclosure case.
According to RealtyTrac.com, one in every 349 homes in Jacksonville was in forclosure in August.
The San Marco area (32207) had the fewest number of foreclosures at just 24. The website reports Mandarin (32258) had the highest rate of foreclosures last month at one in every 132 housing units.
