Miranda Wilkerson at the Home of Donald Coleman
MACCLENNY, Fla. -- The day after her birthday, family and friends of Miranda Wilkerson are planning another protest.
It is scheduled for today at 5 p.m. in front of the Baker County Courthouse.
Wilkerson turned 4 years old Sunday. Her family released balloons in her honor, even though she didn't attend.
The case has brought international attention, from ABC News and newspapers in England.
Wilkerson was transferred into the custody of convicted sex offender Donald Coleman through court decisions.
Miranda's mother was killed in a crash, and she had been living with her grandmother until the court decision.
Coleman was married to Miranda's mother at the time of Miranda's birth, so he is considered her legal father even though he is not her biological father.
