Stolen vehicle, suspects in Arlington auto burglaries caught

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Three of the four suspects responsible for multiple auto burglaries in the Arlington area were caught early Tuesday morning after a brief police chase that ended in a crash on Southside Blvd. One suspect remains at large. 

Authorities responded to 2703 Wood Hill Dr. early Tuesday morning in regards to individuals in a black SUV going through the apartment complex and checking for unlocked car doors. Upon arrival to the scene, officers apprehended one suspect, while the other three fled in a Honda Pilot. 

According to JSO, the Honda Pilot left the complex at a high rate of speed but crashed shortly after at the 8000 block of the Southside Blvd. Srv Rd. near Park South. One suspect was detained while two others fled on foot towards the Deerwood Country Club.

With the help of additional officers and K9 Units, the third suspect was taken into custody after a canvassing of the area. One suspect, who has been described as a black male wearing all black clothing, remains at large.

After further investigations, the Honda Pilot was discovered to have been recently stolen from Jacksonville Beach on Sept. 11, 2016. 

None of the residence in the aforementioned areas are in danger, according to authorities. It is recommended though, that you check your vehicles for any stolen items.
