St. Augustine Police looking for attempted murder suspect

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- According to a St. Augustine Police report, deputies received a call at around 2:20 a.m. Sunday, in response to someone being shot near the intersection of Flagler Blvd and Gerado St. 

However, when they arrived on scene, no one was there. Both the victim and the suspect had fled the scene. 

A short time later, a deputy had detained a white male victim with a gunshot wound to his leg.

According to the report, witnesses on the scene had conflicting stories initially, but officers were able to learn that a black male suspect had fled the scene in a maroon SUV.

The St. Augustine Police are asking anyone with information to please call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-8477, where you can remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward.
