JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A Jacksonville man was sentenced to 50 years in prison for molesting a 9-year-old girl.
According to Jackelyn Barnard with the State Attorney's Office, Michael Halveland, 41, sexually abused the child from August 2010 to March 2011. He is the last of five individuals to be prosecuted in the case by Florida State Attorney's Office.
The four other individuals have also been tried for crimes against the child. Robert Goeing Young, a registered sex offender, was sentenced to life in prison for molesting the child.
Christopher Perry was sentenced to six life sentences on five counts of Sexual Battery, one count of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation, one count of Child Neglect and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Sexual Battery. Perry's wife, Mary Perry, was sentenced to 30 years in prison on charges of Child Neglect and Conspiracy to Commit Sexual Battery.
Patricia Woloszynowski pled guilty to one charge of Child Neglect and was sentenced to 14 years in prison.
