JACKSONVILLE - If you recently purchased a house in Florida, today (March 1) is the deadline to file your homestead exemption.
You can qualify for an exemption of up to $50,000. You must have owned and moved into a home after January 1st of 2012. You can submit an application over the web in Duval County or go to the Property Tax office on 213 West Forsyth Street.
