FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -- A 16-year-old Matanzas High School student has been arrested on charges of sexual battery on a 14-year-old girl.
Flagler County Sheriff's Deputies arrested D'Shawn Hosang Monday evening.
The victim told deputies around 9:45 a.m. Monday morning, she and Hosang were kissing in the stairwell of the high school. The 14-year-old then said the suspect forced her to perform a sex act on him. The victim told deputies he then forced her to have sex with him.
Hosang denied having sex with the girl when he spoke to deputies, but he did admit to meeting the girl in the school's stairwell.
Text messages sent between the suspect and victim shortly after the alleged battery led detectives to arrest Hosang Monday evening.
The suspect was booked into the Flagler County Inmate Facility, then he was transferred to the Youth Services Division in Daytona Beach. He was additionally charged with violation of probation.
Hosang was one of three teenagers arrested last July for multiple car break-ins.
He was charged with multiple felonies for burglary of an auto, as well as multiple misdemeanor counts of theft.
