JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police are looking for a man suspected of two counts of armed robbery related to an incident at the Planet Beach spa on Atlantic Boulevard.
The robbery happened on Tuesday just before 8 p.m. The victim was talking to a new customer when an unknown white male, who was wearing a white T-shirt, a black long sleeved shirt, camouflage pants and a dark baseball cap, came and sat behind the desk and asked "Where's the money?"
The victim told the suspect there is no money, which prompted the suspect to yell "Where's the (expletive) money?" twice, according to a report from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. The victim and the new customer both ran from the building and the victim screamed, "He's got my purse!" according to a witness.
Prior to the robbery, a witness at nearby Smoothie King saw the suspect drive through the parking lot twice. After driving through a third time, the suspect went into Planet Beach. The witness at Smoothie King also saw the victim come into the business and say that the suspect had a knife. This same witness stopped the victim from running after the suspect.
A delivery driver employed at Jet Pizza tried to pursue the suspect and saw that he was parked behind Pepper's Mexican Grill & Cantina. The driver followed the suspect, who was driving a 1990s Lexus ES 300 with Ohio plates, but lost him on Morning Sun Drive.
