Husband finds photo with wife taken 17 years before they met

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Imagine crossing paths with your soul mate over and over again and never meeting. Then one day finding out, you've been in the same places at the same time. That's the story of one couple now living in Jacksonville. The story has gone national after a simple post on social media.

The photo was taken when Jason Roth, and now Jessica Roth, were in Preschool in Lakeland participating in a Halloween costume parade. They didn't know each other then.

"For a brief moment of time I went to live with my aunt in Lakeland who ran a preschool which happened to be the preschool that Jessica went to, which we discovered at my graduation party," said Jason Roth.

The couple met 17 years later through a mutual friend and Preschool wasn't the only time they had crossed paths, but never met. Jessica and Jason both attended Florida State University around the same time and lived in the same dorm building freshman year.

"He worked at the café on the ground floor that I used to come in and order beignets from," said Jessica Roth.

A true 'How I met your Mother' like story. A few months after they started dating they found this photo.

"He said 'were you a genie for Halloween?' a random question, and I was like 'Yes, I was!' said Jessica.

"Little did I know I would be standing right there and a couple of feet to my right my future wife would be right there," added Jason.

The photo became the couple's save the date wedding card and now 10 years later they are happily married in Jacksonville with their three young boys.

"You got to have a good strong partner in life and I think we found that," added Jason.
