Casey Anthony was charged in 2010 in Orlando for allegedly murdering her 2-year-old. She was found not guilty of killing Caylee.

Benton Butler was a 15-year-old accused of murdering a man back in 2000. He said the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office beat a confession out of him and he even won a $775,000 civil lawsuit he filed against the city. As of 2010, he was working in real estate in the city.

Finnell's been a trial lawyer for 35 years, according to the bio on her law firm's website. She focuses on complex homicide litigation, which would be apt for this case as it's involves a murder from 23 years ago.

She's a past president of the Jacksonville Women Lawyer's Association and holds degrees from Duke University and the University of Florida.

Recently, Finnell is working on the case of Michael Renard Jackson of Clay County. He's accused of raping and killing 25-year-old Andrea Boyer in 2007. In 2010, he was convicted of murder. The Florida Supreme Court through out his death sentence and conviction after finding the Clay County Sheriff's Office prejudiced the jury against him, reports the Florida Times-Union.

Jackson went back to trial March 14, 2016 with Finnell's representation.

Finnell will represent Hyde at his next court date April 11. Hyde is accused of killing and dismembering 16-year-old Fred Laster sometime in 1994. After killing Laster and cleaning his torso, Hyde allegedly threw the body into a Lake City gas station's dumpster, police say.
