
JACKSONVILLE, FL -- The Jacksonville City Council has decided to pass a measure that calls for new parking meters downtown. The city will set aside $500,000 for new meters.
Also, a measure to add new regulations, like displaying the odds and banning alcohol, for adult arcades was withdrawn.
The Council did vote 18 to zero to study blighted areas along New Kings Road.
New tax exemptions were approved for bed and breakfast owners in historic districts of Jacksonville.
