Duval County releases early voting totals

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland has released the totals from early voting.

Holland said as of their books closing on July 16, there were 529,849 registered voters in Duval County. At the end of the business day Saturday, August 10, a total of 17,698 voters had cast their ballot by using the county's early voting.

Additionally, 20,780 vote by mail ballots were verified by signatures and have been validated to be opened and processed by the Canvassing Board.

The total number of ballots cast for the Primary Election through early voting and absentee ballots totals 38,478. Holland said this represents 7.3% of eligible voters.

Voters voting August 14 in the Primary Election have to vote at his or her assigned precinct. For more information about precincts or go view varieties of maps, visit the Supervisor of Elections website.  Once at the site, click on "Precinct Finder, Maps and Demographics."
