First Coast Gears: Chevy will sell a real life Hot Wheels Camaro

For Hot Wheels toy fans it's a dream come true. A life size version of the Hot Wheels Camaro is coming to dealerships. General Motors recently announced it will build the Camaro Hot Wheels Edition.

The appearance package will include graphics-accented metallic paint, ZL 1 front upper grille and rear spoiler, a ground effects package and black 21-inch wheels with red outline stripes. You'll also get Hot Wheels grille and decklid logos, black seat stitching with the Hot Wheels logo embroidered on the seats, two-one matte hood graphic and fender "flame" graphics.

The original Custom Camaro 1/64-scale toy from 1969 was one of the original 16 Hot Wheels issued. The life-size 2013 Hot Wheels Camaro is due in dealerships early next year.
