Fatal crash after car hits utility pole on Ft. Caroline Road

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Traffic Homicide detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are investigating a fatal crash on Fort Caroline Road. The accident happened before 5 a.m. at the intersection with Spanish Bluff Road. JEA crews responded to the scene where a BMW slammed into a concrete utility pole. According to our news partner, the Florida Times-Union, a 34-year-old man was killed in the crash. He has not yet been identified.
