Crash involving log truck closed US 301

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A crash involving an overturned log truck shut down the northbound lanes of US-301 Wednesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash happened near Fiftone Road, north of Normandy Boulevard, before 4:30 a.m. FHP said they believe the female driver swerved to avoid something in the roadway. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.
