Mayor puts Buddy Check 12 sticker on his car

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Mayor Alvin Brown and his wife and buddy, Santhea, put a Buddy Check 12 sticker on their car on Tuesday. They also stressed the importance of self-breast exams.

"I just encourage women around the community to realize that breast cancer is real and that it's important to get your annual mammogram and it's important to have a buddy and do your breast self-exam on a monthly basis," said Santhea Brown. "I've got a buddy and that buddy is my husband, Alvin Brown."

They were also joined by breast cancer survivor Daphne Colbert, who also put a Buddy Check 12 sticker on her car.
