Thursday morning fire destroys home, leaves 8 homeless

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A fire Thursday morning at a house in the 5100 block of Timuquana Road has left eight people homeless. There were six children and two adults inside the home when it caught fire around 9 Thursday morning. The house has been declared a complete loss. A 58-year-old man had to be taken to a local hospital after he became trapped in a rear bedroom. No other injuries were reported.
