It looked like a scene out of American Graffiti as Main Street in Historic Springfield was packed Saturday evening with classic cars, families and friends that came out to celebrate the automobile. "It's really not a car show or a parade or anything. It's just come up here, cruise Main Street like you used to. Enjoy the businesses here, eat at some of the restaurants, hook up with your friends. Just do what you want. Have a good time," says John Wells, organizer of the event. Some revved their engines while others cheered. A band played and yes, American Graffiti was played on a makeshift drive-in theatre. Watch the video from the Main Street cruise.
