Kids paddled out Sunday to compete in the 16 and under no-pressure surf contest at Jacksonville Beach Pier. The Rip My Shred Stick surf contest is all about having fun and gave kids a chance to test-drive their boards as they gathered their bearings in the sea. "It's not your typical contest," said Hurley's Core Accounts Marketing Manager Zach Hartley in a press release, "It's based on a fun scale rather than an experience scale. And that's the most important part for me; that everyone wins and has a good time." See who First Coast News caught in our slide show.
