JACKSONVILLE, FL -- It looks like a wet weekend on the First Coast, but for varying reasons. Now through Saturday, southerly flow and a front trying to move in from the Atlantic will provide off and on showers. By Sunday, that system is gone. A northeast wind pattern will bring rain here through Monday. High pressure to the north will provide the northeast flow. As you go to Lake City or Waycross, not as wet or windy.

For the Florida/Georgia game, look for wet tail-gaiting. There may be lingering rain during the game so keep the poncho handy. Most of the rain we get this weekend will be light.

Overall, the big impact will be south and east of Jacksonville. If a heavy rain event sets up, St. Johns, Flagler and Putnam counties will be the prime areas.

As the northeast flow develops, we could see rip currents and minor beach erosion along the coast.

By Tuesday, there will be less wind and less rain.
