JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Thunderstorms are developing outside of the Jacksonville metro area. Some of these downpours will cause very heavy rain along I-10 in Columbia county and around Lake City. The seabreeze has pushed inland west of the St. John's river and this should keep downtown through the beaches dry. Looks like a nice night!

Interior storms will not move a lot.

Tomorrow, predawn showers will be near the beaches and Atlantic waters during the early morning. Look for a cloudy day with a 70% rain chance.

Remember lightning kills more in Florida than any other state.

Its best to go inside as soon as you hear thunder.

30 minutes after the last rumble of thunder, it will be safe to go outside.
