JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- On Monday, Creekside High School senior Matt Dean signed a letter of intent to play lacrosse at Savannah College of Art and Design.
Dean is the second student-athlete in Creekside history to earn an athletic scholarship. Ladson Montgomery, a catcher on the Kinghts baseball team, became the first student-athlete in school history to sign a letter of intent about 40 minutes before Dean did.
Matt will pursue a career in graphic design at SCAD. It's something he's been interested in a for a few years now. When Creekside High opened its doors in 2008, Matt was given the chance to design the lacrosse uniforms that his team wears.
