WARE COUNTY, Ga. -- Financial problems have a local school facing possible closure.
At 7 p.m. tonight, there will be a brainstorming session at the Ware County Board of Education on Bailey Street in Waycross.
Superintendent Joseph Barrows has proposed closing the magnet school in Manor, which currently has about 500 students.
Parents said it's not as simple as packing up and moving children to another school, but the superintendent said the county just doesn't have the money.
At tonight's meeting, two options will be discussed - closing the magnet school or closing another school.
Nothing will be decided tonight, but a decision could come as soon as Tuesday.
