JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- It's something I've grappled with since flu season began; whether or not to get the seasonal flu shot and the swine flu vaccine.
Being five months pregnant, both decisions weigh heavily on my mind. I figured other moms-to-be were dealing with the same decisions -- and wondering about their own worries.
That's why, in my special series of pregnancy-related stories each Wednesday during November, I chose to focus first on the viruses.
This morning on Good Morning Jacksonville, Dr. Pauline Rolle joined me to not only answer my questions about receiving either vaccine, but also to respond to questions and comments of other expectant mothers on the First Coast.
Check out both live interview segments here on this web page.
Then check out my blog "Bundle of Joy" -- it's on MomsLikeMe.com -- where I give my most recent thoughts about the vaccines and share what my decision was at my doctor's visit today.
Next Wednesday's pregnancy topic on GMJ: keeping an eye on your kids when you're not at home. It's a great subject for moms-to-be, and moms of any child who still lives at home.
