JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Some students make the most of their senior year in high school by making great grades, being involved in lots of activities and giving back.  Two students at Sandalwood Senior High School are doing just that, and they are our "Students of the Week."

Walking down the halls of Sandalwood Senior High, one would never know how busy Jordan Ross and Dylan O'Reilly are at the school until you spend an afternoon with the two of them.

Both are busy making great grades and concentrating on college applications, but they also spend a lot of time giving back to the school and making a difference.

Jordan Ross helps sell things for various charities at school. "These are lollipops we sell for 50 cents each. We are selling them for breast cancer awareness."

He also helped put up signs for Homecoming and was crowned Homecoming King. He's the Vice-President of Student Council and President of Senior Men.

Dylan O'Reilly spends a lot of time in the yearbook room. He's the Head Editor of the Yearbook. "It's a very big job. You have to be organized and into school spirit. You have to be on the ball."

Dylan is also the Treasurer of Student Council, on the National Honor Society, Leadership and Senior Men.

Both Jordan and Dylan also have jobs outside of school.

"I taught both of them in their 9th grade year. I've seen them grow tremendously and take a huge interest in our school, not only in school but in life," said Student Activities Director Caleb Gottberg.

Gottberg nominated Jordan and Dylan for Student of the Week because he says they are two of the most giving students at Sandalwood and put in endless hours helping out around the school.

Their senior year will be over before they know it, but Jordan and Dylan want to make sure Sandalwood is a place they'll remember, and be remembered.

"I want to leave a legacy," said Dylan.
