CALLAHAN, Fla. -- No questions asked. Everyone is invited to a free dinner in Callahan every Wednesday night.
The non-profit group, Gleaners, and local business folks are working to make sure the community is well-fed with a smile.
Volunteers are using a smile logo to spread spirit.
The dinner begins at 5 p.m. and ends around 6. It is at the Northeast Florida Fairgrounds on U.S. 1 North, about 2 miles north of Callahan.
On Wednesday, the menu includes barbecue chicken and ribs.
The group could use volunteers to serve tea, bring salads and help in other ways. They also need businesses to sponsor dinners or part of an event. The cost is around $300.
