Friday Decline Leaves Averages with Loss

 NEW YORK (AP) -- With Friday's decline in the market, Wall Street saw a modest drop for the week.

More earnings and economic reports this week will help to drive investor sentiment.

The Dow begins from 9,972 after a dip of 109 in the latest session.

The S&P sits at 1,080 after falling 13 points. The Nasdaq is at 2,154 after dropping about 11 points.

Earnings are due today from Corning and Verizon.
