
NEW YORK (AP) -- Although Wall Street enjoyed gains last week, stocks did stage a Friday fade.
Investors reacted mostly with enthusiasm last week to a smattering of corporate earnings reports. The pace of earnings reports picks up in the coming days.
The Dow fell 67 points to 9,996. The S&P dropped 9 to 1,088. The Nasdaq shed 16 and a-half points to 2,157.
As for the week, the Dow was up 1.3 percent, the S&P 500 index gained 1.5 percent and the Nasdaq rose less than 1 percent.
