JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Zumbajear at Dance Jax is helping us kick off our new project to help the Mammogram Hotline so all women can have a mammogram, even if they can't afford it.

Women and men of all shapes, sizes and ages met for their regular Get-Movin' to Music class -- but showed up in Hero Bras!

Some decorated a Hero Bra in honor of a mom or a dear friend.

Others got out the hot glue gun and sparkles to jazz up bras in honor of all women who fight breast cancer.

One man, Jerome, even came in a football Hero Bra.

Jerome, the Jumbajear leader, says it's not really a bra. "We call it a Hero Bro," he laughed.

Jerome's wife, Arlene, is a breast cancer survivor. She says Buddy Check 12 helped save her life.

Arlene and Jerome inspired their exercise class members to come with Hero Bras. What a response!

At Zumbajear folks donated $10 for each Hero Bra. All the money goes to the M-Line, the First Mammogram Hotline on the First Coast.

Jeannie Blaylock, news anchor at First Coast News, launched the M-Line with Komen for the Cure last fall. More than 2,000 callers have received help from the M-Line.

If you can't afford a mammogram, especially if you don't have insurance, call our M-Line: 1-877-9-MY-MAMO

The classes are open to everyone. If you'd like to make a Hero Bra and see your creation on TV just email a photo to jblaylock@firstcoastnews.com.

We encourage groups to create Hero Bras, too!
