JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have waived receiver Maurice Dupree, receiver Clarence Denmark, tight end Tyler Lorenzen and defensive tackle Jervonte Jackson. The team also has placed defensive back Don Carey on injured reserve.

The moves Tuesday trimmed the roster to 75, meeting the NFL's deadline for the first preseason cuts.

Dupree and Denmark had been long shots to make the team after Jacksonville signed seven-time Pro Bowler Torry Holt and drafted three receivers.

Lorenzen, a college quarterback making the transition to tight end, was behind Marcedes Lewis, Zach Miller, Greg Estandia and Richard Angulo.

Carey, a sixth-round draft pick by Cleveland in April, was claimed off waivers in early August. He hasn't practiced because of a shoulder injury
