JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Here's a little tip I learned for all of us who get cravings for stuff we shouldn't eat.

My danger zone happens about 2-3 in the afternoon.

For some reason, my brain goes into chocolate mode.

I actually carry pieces of Dove dark chocolate in my purse so I don't go bonkers looking for chocolate.

Sounds crazy? Well, maybe. But it's not unusual to have times of day when you crave certain foods---or just anything to eat.

My tip? Carry a travel toothbrush and a little tube of toothpaste in your purse. You can stick them in your desk drawer at work, if you choose.

If you're home, just use your regular toothbrush.

Make yourself go brush your teeth before you buckle under and eat something fattening.

It can stave off a little binge for quite awhile!

If you have a tip that works for you email us at biggestloser@firstcoastnews.com.

I'll try to share your tips on the air, as we follow our 12 finalists in First Coast's Biggest Loser contest.
